I kind of agree with both of you! I really like both Chris and Michaela and would happily watch them, they've got good on screen chemistry and I must admit I find the banter between them entertaining. If this is supposed to be a 'magazine' show along the lines of 'The One Show' then its fine, though not something I would probably tune into every week.

On the other hand however as a nature show this is a total failure - mainly due to the fact that they've forgotten to include any nature in it. Bit of a mis-step there I'd have thought. Even a shot of the trees they were in amongst would have been nice.

And what was the cooking section all about? What a waste of time. I admit I'm not particularly interested in either cooking or wild foraging but even if I was this section would have been no good to anyone as it didn't tell you what to collect, when and where to collect it or how to cook it! Why not devote that wasted time to a film with, oh I don't know, an animal in it?
That would have been nice, just imagine, a nature show with animals!

I'm being too harsh of course, the stuff about the hornets was good, though could have been much longer and then, umm... what else was there!?

I'll keep watching, mainly for the laughs and the presenter interaction which I suppose will keep the BBC happy as its a rating after all but I'm scoring it off my list of nature programmes.

Not making myself clear. Seemed a real shame that they waste so much time when there is so much they could say but instead prefer endless mindless banter between presenters.

Totally agree Deimos.
I thought Michaela seemed a little nervous. She didn't quite seem to be in her normal presenting mode. If they were to drop Martin (he's a bit of a school kid at times) the it could work well as long as they included more wildlife content. I get the idea of promoting wild foraging but htey should have shown that rather than have some bloke just cooking what he'd found. Luckily I now have a Freeview + box so I'll record it this week and fast-forward through the bits that aren't worth watching. The most interesting part of the night was Unsprung! at least that had a fair bit of wildlife content albeit a quiz, questions and photographs.
The past is just that, the past. Today is what matters.
