Hi there
We're planning a big travel feature for our December issue, in which we're seeking contributions from a wide variety of different people associated with the magazine. The 'theme' is 'My best ever wildlife Christmas', and that can be pretty much interpreted as they like (though, I think it would be good if wildlife and Christmas were both mentioned).
But we'd also like readers to send in contributions. Before you go rushing off to your holiday albums, however, read the rest of this post, because it's quite important:
– You can pretty much write as little as you like, but please don't write more than 100 words.
– It can be about anywhere in the world, but bear in mind that a piece about somewhere close to home – a walk in a local nature reserve on Christmas day, for example – may be just as interesting as somewhere further afield. Some element of travel is desirable, however.
– I'll acknowledge all contributions sent in, but I can't guarantee to use them.
– We reserve the right (as with letters) to edit contributions, but you will see the final edit before the magazine is printed.
– We can't pay anything for your contribution, I'm afraid.
– Final deadline for contributions is Friday 15 October.
Send any contributions to me at jamesfair@bbcmagazines.com - thanks and best wishes
