Cabbage "the pundit"

Postby Thylacine » Thu Nov 24, 2011 12:56 pm

Cabbage's humorous comments appear in the BBC Wildlife Magazine for the second month in a row, both Nov + Dec 2011!!!

They'll have to pay him if he appears again, or give him a pair of boots at the very least!

Must be a case of "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" as there only appears to be a handful of people who post regularly on here i.e. Cabbage, Thylacine, myself and a couple of others. :D

If he appears for a hat-trick he should have his own column in the magazine

Well it helps to secretly be the Director General of the BBC... damn I've let that one out now!

I haven't actually seen the magazine for weeks, I'm subscribed but every copy gets spirited away to my girlfriends house and disappears into a huge pile of magazines there, she insists on reading everything in order so won't read the latest ones first - I think shes up to somewhere in the summer of 2010 at the moment so you never know I might see them soon. Thats if she doesn't get distracted by the even larger pile of National Geographics and Empires!

Every now and then I conduct a raid into her magazine pile and grab a random one, it'll be at least a year til she notices!

I do hope it wasn't any of the posts where I'm showing my ignorance - well more ignorance than usual anyway

This is what was printed

For any species the greatest source of competition for resources will always come from others of the same species - and for social groups it will come from members of the same social group. A parent can get away with killing other infants of the same group it could be a good strategy. A sibling is the ultimate source of competition. My brother for instance was always stealing my lego.

And for the January 2012 issue, we have Deimos as the BBC wildlife forum punter with his comments on pandas in Edinburgh zoo.

Hawk-Eye, you'd better up the quality of your posts as you'll be next on in February! ;)

From what I've seen though the editors have been trawling through all the forums and threads to pick out a post for the letters section.

And for February 2012, the pundit is... the guy with his pet owl pics and 12000 readers! :?
I guess numbers count. But please bring back the days of Sandra, Coelacanth and Fishsnorkel.
