Its actually a bit of a struggle getting the magazine round here none of the local shops or newsagents stock it, the only place to get it is in a big supermarket a couple of towns over. I've given up trying to source it and have finally bitten the bullet and subscribed - the free Wildlife Photographer of the Year book may have contributed to that decision too
I have to say my favourite piece is always the letters page, its the same in every magazine I get. I love to read people ranting about stuff - the more stupid and ill informed the better

You have to skip through the usual screeds of sycophantic stuff from people looking for letter of the month of course but actually BBC wildlife isn't too bad for that.
After that I like to look for the Q&A section, then the News of the Earth and Discoveries section (this may be a bit out of date I'm currently flicking through a copy from July 2008 cos I'm not at home with the latest mag!). After that I'll usually read the big main features though if its something I'm not really interested in its more just looking at the pictures than reading

Of course if its something I AM interested in like Scottish Wildcats or sharks I turn to that bit first

I also really like the reviews bit and usually add a couple of books to my amazon wishlist or circle tv programmes I want to see.
I'll generally read the whole magazine eventually. Every now and then you'll get a bit on wildlife art or writing or somesuch and I tend to just skip those bits. I'm not a huge fan of Richard Mabeys column so usually just skim that, don't know why? I tend not to read the location of the month bits either. Or anything about bugs.
All in all it is a really good magazine and a good read.
