Hello, I am brand new to the board. Just spent the day birding at Minsmere and felt enthused by sightings of a pair of smews, some green woodpeckers and the freakish sight of a Greater Flamingo that seems to have escaped and taken up residence in the winter mist of Suffolk!
I've just returned to the UK from a 6 month stay in South Africa, training to become a Safari Field guide. I'm making a few web videos about my time there. You can see the first one here if you fancy a taste of life in the bush... http://youtu.be/aBq6wUP7AtA
Hoping to get more to grips with the wildlife under my nose here in my native UK - having been woken up by lions and hyenas for half a year.
Cheers!
Spencer.
