Kingfisher Blog

Postby wossa » Wed Apr 15, 2015 1:34 pm

Hi All

I have a local wildlife blog I have started for 2015. I have a small stream near my house in Bedfordshire which has various wildlife events going on which I have started to photograph, particularly Kingfishers. I am not too knowledgeable on wildlife too much, so feedback is always welcome.

I hope some of you will dip into it now and again and follow the weekly exploits :)

Hello

It's been three weeks since I have been able to get back to see how my local Kingfishers have been doing...I was really keen to get back on the stream to see whats been happening.

New update with pictures....the stream looked amazing!

Hello

The Kingfishers are still chick-less, but I am anticipating this will change any day now...the female paid a visit over the weekend and looked amazing as always.
I saw a funky spider cruising the pond on his very own leaf boat too... !

Take a look at my May blog, it's been a busy month with also a trip to Socorro to see Oceanic Manta's (the same place as appeared on the wicked BBC1 'Shark' this week). Lots of pictures, lots to tell you...

Hi All

I have added a couple of new posts to the Kingfisher blog and photographs from the holiday weekend.

http://www.warrenssite.com/Blog/Wildlif ... y-201/June

The male Kingfisher was hunting, not too successfully, but he is eating everything for himself...so I am guessing the eggs still haven't hatched....can't be too long now !!

The BBC Wildlife magazine has also kindly published an article on-line of my recent SCUBA diving trip to Mexico..(link can be found on my new post and the full story with loads more pics is under May's posts).

Anyway, thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the pics :) .
