mushrooms!

Postby ghibtasaurus » Wed Sep 10, 2008 7:26 pm

i know in a lot of places they wont be out yet, but i wanted otheres opinion on what are the best wild mushrooms - personally the best camping meal in te world is chanterelles with scrambled eggs and bacon - theyre quite common in some bits of scotland. other favourites are hedgehogs (boiled in milk first), penny bun and v. young shaggy ink caps fried in breadcrumbs. but then some that are supposedly edible seem to taste gross. does anyone know what to do with a wood bluit so it DOESNT taste of boiled slugs?[:'(]
