Really like the new layout of the magazine. Good work.

Not seen it (my copy is still sitting waiting in the kitchen).

However, does the change relate to the recent sale of BBC Worldwide to private equity investment (which I'm afraid is often good for the investors income but bad for employees and customers).

Hi guys

Thanks for your comments. We just felt that it was time to give the magazine a refresh, and it happened to co-incide with the recent sale.

Glad you liked it Hawk_Eye, and hope you do Deimos!

Best,
Heather

Just read this months new look mag having skipped my pile of unread 'old look' ones to get to it. I like it, some great articles this month - your article based round the new BBC dinosaur series being much better than the actual series in question IMO  - but I have to say I don't really get whats new about it! It looks pretty much the same as ever to me - which isn't a complaint by the way I very much liked the mag the way it was :D

Really enjoyed the Bill Oddie column and the photography throughout was as usual superb.

Only one tiny query/complaint (there had to be one!) have you switched to a different (cheaper?) paperstock? It seems more 'flimsy' in my hand and the pages are starting to curl up round the edges after only one read. Of course this is the first one I've read in a wee while (I'm still subscribed just haven't got round to actually reading any lately!) so this may be something you did a while ago.

Regardless, congrats as usual on the good work!

What's with that new dinosaur series. I know it's been made usng CGI (BBC Focus had a god article on it) but it looks like something from a cheap computer game.
Hopefully the book will have more information in it.
