October Podcast

Postby cabbage » Thu Oct 28, 2010 10:01 pm

Good work guys, a really good listen. I stuck it on my mp3 player and listened to it while out a walk. My only complaint is it isn't long enough, I'm generally out for about an hour - actually, scrub that I could use it as an excuse to cut the walks shorter! :D

I'd like to add that my least favourite arthropod are definitely ticks - I've been bitten by the evil little beggars the last two times I've visited Speyside on holiday
Though - James's? - suggestion of leeches comes a close second.

And mr McGavin is nuts if he thinks I'm going to start eating insects

Glad you enjoyed it

Regarding the length - this does vary from month to month, but we try to keep our podcasts below about 30 minutes because that's generally a comfortable listening length, for example for people who listen while on their commute.

The latest podcast - for November - is up now

I was only kidding it wasn't really a complaint :D

It just means I have to download something else to listen after it :)

I'm playing catch up with podcasts over this week. Listened to October's today while I did a 5km run on the treadmill. Much better to listen to than the radio station that's usually being blasted out. Great way of passing the time both at the gym and elsewhere.
The past is just that, the past. Today is what matters.

Yeah I do a lot of walking - generally for an hour at a time, hint hint - and its good to have something to listen to :D I followed it up with the BBC Radio 4 'Home Planet' podcast which was also really good and filled up my hour.

Does anyone have any other good wildlife/nature podcasts to recommend?
