no the owl is keen to eat the cat but the cat indistinctly knows this so moves very cautiously when in the owls striking distance but is relaxed outside that area, the dog is tolerated more by the owl although we have had to release the dog once from the owls grip with the dog yelping but generally they are cool together that was just payback for something the dog did the day before, the dog has pups now the owl really likes the look of them with a view to a dining date.

All animals are smart in their own way, I believe that owls are not stupid, just stubborn like me!

Well today was a total waste of make-up.

I take great pleasure in introducing Sage to people & telling them all about her they are almost always really impressed to meet her & fascinated to know more about her. My trips to various places have collected £1244 for macmillan plus Sage is a steadier more calmer relaxed bird than she would otherwise have been if she had not benefited through socialisation from meeting so many people in addition to this it has helped educate younger people about the joy & worth of raptors which has to be a good thing. She has also appeared on tv a couple of times & has quite a following. I do feel privileged to be a part of this & look forward to more of the same.
For the last 9 years I have been trying to resolve a planning issue to create a small holiday site in existing buildings to further promote & educate about these wonderful birds sadly my local council have been doing their upmost to stop this at taxpayers’ expense it has driven me to near ruin it has sent me into extreme depression to the point of considering the unthinkable through self-harm & only this week am told we now need to move out & sleep in our car as we have not been able to regularise our planning status & all because we are not a part of the old boy network. It is no wonder why people get so immersed by the virtues of animals over people.
I have updated the explanation about why falconers often accuse owls of being stupid which now makes it more compelling & difficult to argue to the contrary this can be seen at http://www.twinmoorview.com/eagle-owls/

When I was up in Northumberland a couple of months ago I went to a falconry place at Beal which had a fantastic display (despite being rather cold on the day). The falconer (is it the same word for men and women?) was an aussie who was both very knowledgable and entertaining. Everyone was able to put on a glove and hold the birds and the owls were strokeable as well. Great day out. Plus the owls definately weren't stupid. Glad you're making an effort in introducing Sage to people, great way of getting people to know about these fantastic creatures.

Twinmoor I saw that story in the paper today and was wondering about the complaint the police recieved in regard the net that was used. Also am I right in saying that the likelihood of such an owl taking a child is basically 0%.
