Hello. My name is Ben Eagle and I write about wildlife, environmental issues and agriculture at thinkingcountry.com. My local patch is the north Essex coast around Hamford Water National Nature Reserve (otherwise known as the Walton Backwaters), home to common seals and hundreds of waders and waterfowl over the winter. I'm learning all the time, from others and from my local landscape, and my interest in the natural world is diverse. My writing often reflects on the relationship between people and nature.

Here's a recent post about a very memorable walk to hear the nightingales at Fingringhoe Wick Nature Reserve in Essex.
