January moth selection

I was out last week helping with the moth survey once again. As January had been so hot, over 35 deg some days I expected there to be a good variety of moths. Not so however, although there were also lots of other various insects attracted to the lights; crickets, mantid lacewings and some very large beetles. I might post photos of some of them if I have time. But for now here is the January collection of moths from Black Mountain, Canberra:
