$47? (I couldn't find a pound sign). So maybe not the sort of thing you'd buy offhand, then?

Doesn't look like it.

I wonder how much I'd get for my signed first editions of Life on Earth and The Living Planet?

Probably about 100 pounds each. But are you willing to part with them?

Now that you come to mention it......no!!!![:D]

Meeting David Attenborough was one of my personal highlights. I'm sure he says the same about meeting me. [:D][:D]

If you do change your mind, please tell me first. Where did you meet him?

I will - but don't hold your breath!

I met him at Preston Guildhall in (I think) 1985. He was doing a lecture tour.

I took my books along on the off chance that I might meet him and was delighted to find that he was holding a signing session afterwards. I got my programme signed as well.

He's been one of my heroes in life. I've had a crush on him for over 30 years and for a long time my ambition in life was to run away up the Amazon in a canoe with him. [:D]

I think you'd fall out if you tried to run in a canoe.

Ah. Cunning. You should mind the piranhas though.

Listen, I had a goldfish called Vulture. He lived so long that he became huge and silver. His name was well earned so piranahas? Pah!!
