Rocky Shore Treasures

Postby lupacexi » Sat Dec 09, 2017 7:08 am

It is a number of years since I last paid any real attention to life on our local beaches, but I had the opportunity to discover some new treasures, as well as re-acquaint myself with previous discoveries, amongst the rocky outcrops of Southerndown beach last week.

A lovely post - sounds like you had a great day exploring the beach. That's a big hermit you found there - I normally only see them in whelk shells offshore. They do congregate to swap shells although they're often in groups anyway on the shore. I love watching them!

Thanks for sharing :D ,
