Today's post hopefully brings a little bit of colour to an otherwise grey and windy day. A bright red Seven Spot ladybird and everyone's favourite Robin Red Breast cheered up my garden in Malvern over the weekend.

Today's post is a bit short and sweet, owing mainly to the complete lack of moths for the first night of the Garden Moth Scheme! Fortunately the next best thing - a Moth Fly - put in an appearance to give me my much needed insect fix.

I enjoy reading your blogs and can empathise with the problems of taking good pictures of birds and creatures who rarely co-operate for long enough for me to get everything sorted out. Have been considering getting a trail camera too, so your experiences there have been very enlightening too. Keep up the good work.

Hi John. Thanks for your kind comments about my blog and my efforts with the camera, it means a lot that people are enjoying it - especially experienced nature enthusiasts like yourself. I must admit I'm so glad I bought the trail cam - it's already thrown up some surprises and I can't wait for our hedgehogs to emerge and get their starring moments too. Nicky

Back to my adventures with the trail cam with this latest post and an unexpected visitor to the garden. Delighted when I downloaded the latest set of trail cam films, to discover we'd been visited by a Siskin - a bird we didn't even know we had in the garden!

The sunshine has brought out the bees in the garden and already 3 species have put in a very welcome appearance, including the delightfully names Hairy Footed Flower Bee. Photos and video on the latest blog post at: http://toolazytoweed.uk/2016/03/27/the- ... s-or-feet/

Yellow is the new season's colour in the garden as Spring arrives bringing daffodils, primroses, Brimstones and wasps.

More Hairy Footed Flower Bee action as the females have now emerged in our garden in Malvern and are being amorously pursued by the males.

Very excited in the Too Lazy to Weed garden after the discovery of a teeny tiny moth - apparently a new record for the Malvern area!
