My unintentional run of colour themed posts continues with the latest blue blog. The big news is that the Blue Tits are nesting and the bluebell has flowered!

Frisky dunnocks in our garden are behaving very strangely. The normally shy birds were courting right outside the patio doors this week - result some surprising photos of parts of a dunnock I've never seen before!!

Some excellent photos of dunnocks; we had a pair "performing" regularly in our back border, but the combination of the distance and the shade under the shrubs meant that my photos weren't so good - my "Dancing Dunnocks" blog has the best one I could manage. The dunnocks seem to have "got over it" now and are behaving "normally" again.

Hi John. I was just very lucky that a) they performed right in front of our window and that b) I had the camera within reach. First time I'd ever seen such a thing. Amazing little birds aren't they?

The bees have been busy in our garden - I'm really excited to have counted 12 species already and it's only mid April! All twelve listed with photos on the latest blog post.

Great excitement in the Too Lazy garden - our robins have fledged. Two healthy and very demanding youngsters keeping the adult robins busy. Photos and videos on the latest blog post:
