Hi I'm Emily,

My blog is very much in the early stages but as it goes on I hope to add posts covering several topics (e.g. ecological research, conservation, bats, reptiles, fieldbooks) which will hopefully be informative and provide insights into working in the field, but could just as easily end up being opinionated ramblings. (Who knows?!).

Either way I hope you enjoy it

A quick word on field ID and drawings of British Hawk-moths from one of my field books ~ I love keeping field books and hopefully there will be more to come under this category!

Hi,
I'm enjoying your posts and loved your hawk moth drawings. I don't know a lot about moths, but I always enjoy attempting to identify the ones we find.
Keep up the blog! :D

I was on a bat survey recently, and realized that a few people seemed somewhat alarmed by my activity!
