Welcome to the forum Andy,

There are a huge range of books on this subject but the only pocket wild food ID book that I know of is Richard Mabey's classic, Food for Free. It's a great introduction to edible wild plants and mushrooms, and even suggests a few recipes (though I feel it could offer more advice on the processing side of things).

Roger Phillips Wild Food is great for telling you what to do with your wild harvests – his blackberry wine recipe is superb, for example.
