I'm back on my local patch now and amazed at how much everything has grown.
The birds have been busy nesting

What I thought was going to be a boring 2 hours waiting for my sister turned out to be a brilliant morning.

Cute badger Alert

Postby Appletonwildlifediary » Tue Apr 28, 2015 7:56 pm

Yesterday was one of those brilliant days where wildlife seemed to be everywhere.
We saw 4 hares, lots of badgers, some deers in the wood and the trail camera captured a fox passing through.

Badger cubs caught on trail camera

Postby Appletonwildlifediary » Fri May 01, 2015 9:34 am

I use my trail camera quite a bit in the badger sett and I am always excited to see what it has captured on film over night when I can't be there.

I think this week as been one of the best weeks

Early evening Badgers

Postby Appletonwildlifediary » Fri May 15, 2015 3:30 pm

My local badgers seem to be coming out quite early this week, which is great for taking some photos of them amongst the bluebells.

Postby Appletonwildlifediary » Mon May 18, 2015 5:52 pm

Local social media was full of a Black-throated diver that had turned up at my local reservoir so we went to have a look.
