Young Fermanagh Naturalist by Dara McAnulty Age 13

Postby NaturalistDara » Mon Jun 27, 2016 4:11 pm

Hi there, my name is Dara and I am a 13 year old aspiring naturalist and conservationist. I love exploring our beautiful limestone landscape, surrounded by mountains, lakes and areas of outsanding natural beauty. I started my blog http://www.youngfermanaghnaturalist.wordpress.com to chronicle my wildlife journey. Also to meet other young naturalists. I have Aspergers and being out in the natural world is one of the most important things to me and my family. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you

This post is about my search for a new bird to Fermanagh, and my way of dealing with disappointment and also celebrating what's outside your window. You can read the whole post here.

Hi everyone!! We found an orchid growing on our 'Bee friendly' garden. I was moved to find out some more about orchids, particularly from an Irish folklore perspective!! It was really interesting.....and amusing!

Hi everyone!! Part of my love and curiosity of the natural world, is finding the extraordinary in things which are perceived as ordinary. I find the magpies who visit our garden so beautiful. It moved me to find out more about these wonderful birds.....even a song!
