Well I have listened to three of these podcasts now and it sounds so overly scripted, serious and heavily earnest, focused on magazine plugging, with at times the most horrid whimsical prose. C'mon everyone let your hair down a bit, talk from the heart and sound like your enjoying it rather than part of a recorded focus group.......try Word Magazine podcast for example....

Thanks cavanti

Interesting – if a little negative – but all comments are helpful. We find we need to have some scripted structure otherwise we'd descend into chaos – (maybe that would be fun).

We've actually had a lot of positive reaction to our podcasts. We're still learning and the podcast is meant to be a companion to the written magazine. We'd welcome any suggestions for content.

I should fess up - I'm the newbie on the magazine - the temporary relacement for James Fair. So this was my first podcast. Quite a nerve-wracking experience...

Sorry that you found it scripted. It's actually a tad more ad-libbed than you realise, but obviously you've got to have some idea of what you're going to say, or else you would just get me going er, um, hmmm, er all the time. But I agree with Fergus, it's great to have feedback, and you do make a fair point!

Keep listening...
