These images from his new book, Beneath Cold Seas, feature the rich marine life of a coldwater ecosystem that teems with colourful creatures.

His work has won numerous awards and his photographs have appeared in dozens of books and in most major magazines in Europe and North America, including National Geographic, Smithsonian, Natural History, Sierra, Time, Science, Scientific American, Geo, Terre Sauvage, BBC Wildlife and many others.

He is the author or co-author of 10 books for children and the recipient of an award from the International Institute for Species Exploration.
