About the photographer
Paolo Torchio came to Kenya in 1990, and quickly made the country his home. He now leads photographic workshops in Kenya and his photographs and articles appear regularly in a host of Kenyan wildlife and travel magazines, as well as in some illustrious wildlife magazines elsewere in the world, such as Oasis, in his native Italy.
The East African Wild Life Society’s 2007, 20010 and 2011 calendars featured his work exclusively, and in 2009 one of his photographs was selected for the Nikon Calendar in Tokyo, Japan.
One of his photographs was included in BBC Wildlife's stunning 2010 calendar, and the same photo was awarded third prize in the Mammals Category of the Italian Wildlife Championship 2009.
