About Lia Barrett

Lia Barrett is a Korean-born deep sea photographer who spends most of her time living out of a suitcase.

In 2008, she began collaborating with submarine builder and captain, Karl Stanley, on a quest to document the sealife that exists at extreme depths near Roatan, Honduras.

The photographs Lia captured on her ventures offer an intriguing insight into an area of our planet that has barely been explored.

She aims to spread awareness of the negative impact of human activity on the well being of the world's oceans through her images.
