French wildlife gallery by Jean-Michel Lenoir
About the photographer
Jean-Michel Lenoir believes that we can all take beautiful pictures in our own back yards - all we have to do is open our eyes.
For him, photography is about perceiving that which surrounds us, while showing respect for and humility towards nature. The best images are those that capture the natural state of the subject in its entirety.
Light and graphic rendering are essential to Jean-Michel’s photographic approach - they draw the image and recapture the intensity of an emotion.
Contemplative by nature, he does not seek to capture a descriptive image, but rather a suggestive one, one that tells a story.
Jean-Michel Lenoir is an award winning photographer. He was runner-up in the Mammal Behavior category in the 2010 Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition and his work is regularly published by the BIOSPHOTO agency and French wildlife magazines.
