About the photographer

Wildlife photographer Austin Thomas has been interested in nature, wildlife and the great outdoors since his childhood, often spending many a happy hour walking in the fresh air with a pair of binoculars.

 
All of that changed in 2007, when he decided to purchase a camera. He now spends half of his life in a hide, viewing wildlife through a camera lens, and the other half in front of a computer.
 
Entering photographic competitions nationally and internationally has broadened his exposure to the world of wildlife photography. He has had many images published both nationally and internationally, includig in BBC Wildlife Magazine.
