About the photographer
Shem Compion is a naturalist, professional wildlife photographer and photographic tour leader.
He says "My experience has been built up through a lifetime of being immersed in nature. A formal background of a nature conservation and wildlife management also helps.
Once I combined my photographic knowledge and animal behavioural skills, my services were in high demand.
Being an active naturalist and photographer, I constantly advocate the use of photography to help conservation initiatives. All of my images are available for conservation initiatives, researchers and academics.
This is my small way of giving back to conservation with my images. I am currently working on a larger project that will allow photographers to be a lot more involved in conservation."
