Underwater wildlife photo gallery by Michel Loup
For many years, Michel has travelled the world working as a photographer, but he has finally returned to the countryside he loves best – the mountains of Jura in eastern France.
Water and light and the interplay between them inspire him. His fascination with water and its secrets inspired him to start photographing aquatic landscapes, principally in the lakes of Jura, and Brazilian rivers.
He has published three books, which highlight his deep links with wild nature. His most recent release A fleur d’eau contains beautiful and unusual images shot either from under or just on the surface of lakes. It reveals the strange and exotic wildlife of this mysterious world.
You can read our review of Michel's new book in the April issue - out now!
Michel 's work has been recognised in our Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in 2005, 2006 and 2009 and has been published in many nature magazines and books.
