Wild caracal photo gallery by Federico Veronesi

About the photographer

Federico Veronesi has been passionate about African wildlife and photography since he came to live in Kenya's Masai Mara NR as a young child.

He had always dreamed about seeing and photographing caracals, one of the most elusive animals to inhabit the African plains. This female and her cub finally provided him with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to document their lives and adventures together.

Federico's photography has earned him awards at several international competitions, and has been published in magazines and books. His caracal images were originally published in the Autumn 2010 issue of BBC Wildlife.

His colour and black and white photographs are available as fine-art prints. He is also a freelance guide in the Masai Mara.
