Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 results
A selection of our favourite winning images from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2016 competition.
Images from this year's Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition highlight the plight of certain species and the environment as a whole, as well as showcasing the beauty of the natural world.
"The winning images touch our hearts, and challenge us to think differently about the natural world," comments Sir Michael Dixon, Director of the Natural History Museum, London.
We present here a selection of winning images from this year’s premier collection, chosen from almost 50,000 entries representing 95 countries.
Enjoy all of the winning images from the competition, backlit to showcase them at their very best, in the exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum (from 21 October 2016 to 10 September 2017) or on its UK and international tour.
