Celebrating valuable contributions made to UK wildlife, The National Biodiversity Network (NBN) is accepting nominations for the NBN Awards for Wildlife Recording until 11 August 2019.

The Awards were developed in 2015 to acknowledge the important work done by individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to biological recording, helping to broaden understanding of the UK's wildlife.

“Wildlife recording underpins all conservation efforts and yet this vital work is often not publicly recognised,” says NBN Chair Neil Hodges. “Please help us correct this oversight by celebrating the work of individual wildlife recorders and groups — nominate them for one of the NBN Awards!”

It’s possible to nominate groups, an individual, an organisation, or even yourself for an award by completing the appropriate nomination form in one of the five categories, and submit it to the NBN before 11 August 2019.

Shorted-listed nominees in each category will be announced on 1 October, and winners will be announced on 13 November at the National Biodiversity Network’s annual conference in Nottingham.
