Gordon Buchanan is a wildlife cinematographer, filmmaker and presenter. He received an MBE for services to conversation and wildlife film-making in 2020.

Gordon was born in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. He was brought up on the Isle of Mull.

Gordon is well-known for working on Big Cat Diary, Springwatch and Autumnwatch.

In 2010, he presented a programme called The Bear Family and Me. It was produced by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit and was broadcast on BBC Two, and it followed him as he spent a year filming a family of wild black bears.

This helped kickstart his appearances in front of the camera, as well as behind it, and he's since presented more '...and Me' programmes, focusing on different animal families such as grizzly bears, cheetahs, and snow cats.

In 2024, he worked on the BBC Two programme Big Cats 24/7.
