Giraffes are so ubiquitous that many of us assume that their wild population is plentiful. However, this isn't the case. In fact, this elegant creature has become extinct in seven African countries, and they face further threats.
Remembering Giraffes is the 11th book in the Remembering Wildlife fundraising series, which has so far raised more than £1.26 million for over 80 different conservation projects around the world. The aim of the project is to create awareness so that future generations will be able to continue to bear witness to these remarkable creatures.
Some of the world's top wildlife photographers have donated their images for use in the book – here is just a small selection of those incredible photos.
