A wildlife lover in Brisbane, Australia, has shared charming footage of a tiny bobtail squid swimming through the shallows and burying itself in the sediment.
At first, it looks like digital creator Jolin Tan is pointing towards a teeny leaf fluttering in the water. But, zooming in, you can see an adorable bobtail squid – around the size of a peppercorn – pootling along.
“He’s just a blob,” she writes in the caption. “A literal speck.”

The miniature cephalopod is dwarfed by the seaweed as it bobs through the water like a cute little alien.
It even uses its tiny arms to flick sediment and seashells on top of its adorable head as it buries itself in the sand.
