Alex Morss writes about, teaches and does ecology. She is an author of a number of books including Funny Bums, Freaky Beaks & Other Incredible Creature Features, Winter Sleep: A Hibernation Story and Busy Spring: Nature Wakes Up. She has also worked as an ecologist for 20 years, been a field naturalist for much longer, and worked as a journalist in many roles over three decades. Alex is particularly passionate about botany, invertebrates and bats, although she’s worked a lot with a wide range of other wildlife too. She’s also worked with a wide range of conservation charities, consultancies and science organisations.
