From a young age of 6, Josh has had a love of wild plants, watching the enormous diversity of insect life swarm around the wildflowers he grew. It was at this age that it struck him - plants are the basis of life on Earth! Josh continued his love for plants well past childhood, volunteering for the Wildlife Trusts, RSPB, Natural England, WWT and other wildlife conservation organisations, gaining an array of expertise and knowledge from the incredibly knowledgeable naturalists that Josh met on a regular basis. After college, Josh decided to study Ecology at Edge Hill University where he graduated with a 1st class honours, progressing into the world of ecology consultancy. Today, Josh is the Botanical Specialist for a large ecology consultancy and runs his own conservation programme, hoping to improve the state of north-west England's wild plants, and our perception of them.
